Privacy Policy

How Papo processes, stores and protects your data.

1. Controller & Contact

The Papo team is responsible for data processing. For questions or deletion requests, please use the support channel in the dashboard or on the official Discord server.

2. What data is processed

  • Discord IDs of users, servers, channels and roles to run bot functions.
  • Server settings such as automod rules, tickets, logging and welcome configurations.
  • Logs of bot events (e.g. automod actions, ticket status changes) for traceability.
  • Auth data from Discord OAuth2 (scopes identify, guilds) for dashboard login.

No chat content is stored permanently unless explicitly configured via ticket transcripts or logs.

3. Purposes & Legal Basis

  • Providing the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): running bot commands, automod, tickets, music, welcome, logging, leveling.
  • Security & abuse prevention (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): rate limits, error messages, system logs.
  • Support (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): traceability of support requests.

4. Retention Period

Data is only stored as long as necessary for its purpose. Server settings persist until changed or the bot is removed. Technical logs are rotated regularly and deleted once their purpose has been fulfilled.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

Data is only disclosed where necessary to provide the service (e.g. hosting providers) or where required by law. Data is never disclosed for advertising purposes.

6. Cookies & Tracking

The dashboard only uses technically necessary cookies/storage (e.g. session tokens) for authentication. No tracking or marketing cookies are used.

7. Your Rights

  • Access to your stored personal data.
  • Correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion, unless retention obligations apply.
  • Restriction of and objection to certain processing.
  • Data portability, where applicable.

8. Security

Appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken to protect data against loss, misuse or unauthorized access. Please also keep your Discord account and permissions secure.

9. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated as features, legal requirements or technical processes change. Material changes will be communicated appropriately.
